SCCM 2007 SP2
1 Primary and 2 secondary sites
we have more than 300 files that have got accumulated in \\secondarysite\SMS_SITE folder
99% of these files are .tmp files
Also there are some .pck and .try
Is theis folder supposed to be empty. How could i solve the issue , if there is one.
I am using SCCM 2007 to push a program. In the advertisement status I can find the number of machines that received the advertisement and ran the program successfully.
I need to know the names of these machines if possible
Thanks
Hello,
I create a package for shockwave 12.1.7.257 to be deployed to all our enterprise machine. during testing I have already issues:
3 VMs built from the same image, they are in the same OU, no customization.
When distributing the package after creating the adverstisment I am getting on 1 VM an error:
The program for advertisement "DTS2015C" failed ("DTS000D0" - "Adobe Shockwave 12.1.7.157"). A failure exit code of 1603 was returned. User context: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Possible cause: Systems Management Server (SMS) determines status for each program it executes. If SMS cannot find or correlate any installation status Management Information Format (MIF) files for the program, it uses the program's exit code to determine status. An exit code of 1603 is considered a failure. Solution: For more information on the exit code, refer to the documentation for the program you are distributing.
Advertisement ID : DTS2015C Client SMS Unique ID : GUID:C38517E1-FFBC-4DB7-9E41-F7D766021446
I checked the logs and could not found any clue
In the application log I have:
Log Name: Application Source: MsiInstaller Date: 4/22/2015 6:37:59 PM Event ID: 10005 Task Category: None Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: SYSTEM Computer: win7-10-test1.ad Description: Product: Adobe Shockwave Player 12.1 -- Error 2753.The File 'swhelper_1217157.exe' is not marked for installation.
I ran gpupdate /force reboot the machine same issue...
Why only 1 machine has the issue? 2 went through
Any idea?
Thanks,
Dom

Here’s an SCCM advertisement scheduling gotcha…
Some control room computers have the box shown below unchecked. The result is that they stay on standard time year-round.
Date and Time Properties -> Time Zone -> “Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes” is unchecked.
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\TimeZoneInformation\[DisableAutoDaylightTimeSet] = 1
Consider the scenario where you create an SCCM advertisement at 2:00pm. One of these control room PCs receives the advertisement at 2:15pm, but according to its own clock, it is only 1:15pm. Execmgr.log shows the following messages:
CSoftwareDistPolicyMgr - Policy for (<AdvID> <AdvName> <PkgID>) is not being offered yet or is expired
Could not find the policy in WMI for package <PkgID> program <programname>
The WMI query for CCM_DeletedPolicy did not return any objects
You would think that everything should be OK after the clock on this PC catches up to the advertisement start time. However, these PCs never process this advertisement, even after 1 hour has elapsed. The only way to get these PCs to run it is to re-create the advertisement, or de-install/re-install the SCCM client.
Suggested actions: When creating an advertisement, target it at the NULL collection for an hour, then re-target it at the full-scale collection. Or you can backdate the “Mandatory Start Time” and “Mandatory Assignment” time by 1 hour.
Hi
I Scheduled a batch file that contains C:\Windows\SysWOW64\WScript C:\MyScript.vbs
Runs fine as Domain\Administrator when job is confirgured for "Run only when user is logged on"
But when configured as "wheter user is logged on or not" the batch file starts, CSCRIPT.exe (or WSCRIPT.EXE) starts but remains as a running process. The program the VBS instanciated does not start (it does nt show in the process) will it does start when "Run only when user is logged on"
System log shows:
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{D63B10C5-BB46-4990-A94F-E40B9D520160}
and APPID

to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.
{D63B10C5-BB46-4990-A94F-E40B9D520160} was not found in the component Services
If I replace the code in the script to launch Notepad.exe I cann see Notepad in the processes.
But if the script issues a CreateObject()
Dim Signon
Dim SignonID
dim strCommand
Set Signon = CreateObject("A4wSignonMgr.AccpacSignonMgr")
SignonID = Signon.RegisterSignon(...)
The object does not open (not process shown in task manager. But it does show when "Run only when user is logged on"
Any idea ?
I started getting the following error whenever I try to update my DP on SCCM 2012
Successfully created RDC signatures for package XXXXXXX version 1. Error = 2

Failed to get RDC signature path for package XXXXXX16 version 1. Error = 2

Can anyone assist
HI Guys,
I am fairly new to SCCM.
I have noticed packages are not getting distributed to one of my DP. I find the below in distmgr.log
Cannot establish connection to ["Display=\\xxxxxxxxxx\"]MSWNET:["SMS_SITE=xxx"]\\xxxxxxxxx\
This is what i have checked till so far.
1] Site server has local Admin right on the DP.
2] All Services are running on Local system and network service where needed.
3] I can access share from DP to Site server and Site server to DP.
Any suggestion would be helpful.
Hi everybody,
I'm facing a tedious problem here... after a software distribution (through task sequence) failed on some clients, I'm unable to run any adverisement on those clients. Checking with SCCM Client Center on a client I can see that the TS remains as "Completed"
under Running Executions section, I already tried to follow what's suggested here "http://sccm.haas.se/?p=684" but since the TS engine is not running anymore on those clients, that's not my case.
The TS advertisement is configured to not re-run it if failed, so it should let me run other advertisements, I also removed that advertisement on the clients but the TS is still there as "Completed" and all the other advertisements are on Ready state and forcing one to run doesn' work.
Any suggestion?
Thanks
Hi,
In SCCM Client Center, there is an option to initiate "Apply Updates". Is it can be done for multiple systems using a VB Script or Powerhsell

Task sequence on our secondary site is failing.
Our site is SCCM 2007 SP2 and we are trying to deploy Windows 7 x64
As seen the task sequence fails on fetching the boot image
the smsts log shows the following
Attempting to connect to "\\DP01\SMSPKGM$\ABC00002".TSMBootstrap25-05-2015 11:23:241076 (0x0434)I have already refreshed the package
I updated DP
Tried re-entering Network Access account
Tried re adding the Boot image to the Task Sequence
Created new task sequence
The Task sequence in the primary site works fine.
We checked and found the Machine does get IP address , and is able to ping and resolve the DP.

Hello,
Under Administration > Device Management > Agent Managed I was having the machines grouped by Management servers last week... now they are not anymore and the "Primary Management Server" Field is not available in the Personalize View for sorting or grouping!!!
What could be the issue?

Hi Guys,
I have exhausted all options to fix this issue. How can I remove the distribution point from the remote server and re-install it so its a fresh install?
The D drive on the local server contains these two folders: SMSSIG$ and SMSPKGE$.
Cheers!!
I set up a windows 7 BDP and it is accepting and deploying packages but the Status remains Critical, Free space is 0% and the State System status shows:

Can anyone explain to me why this message is getting rejected as corrupt? It doesn't look large enough to be a overflow error but it obviously is processing the data incorrectly.
Hi Techs
Just looking for some guidance to resolve this issue. I am getting issue in pulling up all computers in an OU to show up in collection from Active Directory.
Active directory System discovery is enabled.
There are 30 computers in an OU. There is a query currently running to pull all computers from that OU to collection to deploy a software. But only 20 computers, out of 30 is been pulled up and showing up in collection. Collection is already refresh and Updated many times. Thinking, these machines might have issue with the client although showing healthy on console, reinstalled SCCM client on few computers but no change. As a matter of time, we waited for more than 2 days but 10 computers still not showing up in collection. Although these machines are receiving other software deployment advertisements so these atleast shows it is operational in environment.
Finding entry of one of the computer "Machine01" on adsysdis.log of Central site server and found below log. However couldnt found its entry on adsysgrp.log.
adsysdis.log
