Not sure if this is possible with SCCM or not but I know when you deploy and App via AD you can give it the option to uninstall if a computer is removed from the group. Is it possible to do this with SCCM? I am doing deployment with SCCM 2 ways, Querring AD groups for computers with mandatory/not-mandatory advertisements, and just SCCM Collections. Is it possible to have SCCM just remove applications that computers are not part of collection/AD group anymore or do I need to create a new collection/advertisement to do that?

Software Inventory - File Version not collected
Hi everybody,
I've enabled Inventory Collection to collect details of a particular .exe, it seems to run fine but if I enable only "file details" in the inventory collection it doesn't collect "File Description" and "File Version" informations,
which is the only information I really need.
If I enable "Product details" in the inventory collection it collects all the informations correctly, and that's good, but there is a little catch that I don't understand: with "product details" enabled it creates an entry in the report
for each file version, so if the files gets updated it creates another entry in the report instead of replacining it (like an history of all the file versions the client has seen), so when I create a collection to see which client has the file and which version,
it reports that the client has 2 files with 2 different version, but in reality it only has one file with the latest version of it.
Any idea on how to configure this properly to collect only the lastest file information and version?
Thanks

Program failed with exit code 5
I am trying to use the free app ResChange to set the monitor resolution. I have made a package with the app in and created a program
"dccmd.exe -width=1440 -height=900 -quiet"
as specified in the app documentation. If I advertise this to a collection I get a failure with the message
"Program 1440x900 failed with exit code 5"
If I copy the app to the client and run the above cmd line it works fine.
If I set the package to persist in the cache, and then run it from there it works fine
I have also made a batch file with the above command line and tried running that from the ccm cache after it has failed and that works too. Can anyone help as to what exit code 5 is?
Interupted Download
If a client starts downloading a package from non protected BITS enabled DP (ie in the data centre) and moves to an office with a Branch DP (different subnet and protected) before the download completes, will the client continue to download from the BITS DP or change to BDP ?
All FAST connections
I think it will continue the BITS download as that information is already at the client, and that DP is still available even tho there is a "better fit" BDP - can anyone confirm(or not) this please
Im guessing for the reverse, it will fail and try to download from the data centre as the protected DP will obviously now not be available ?
huge thanks

message id 10018 advertisement "" from site "" was rejected because the clients platform is not supported. issue!
All,
I wonder whether anybody could shed some light on an issue I am seeing in my environment. We have created a TS advertisement to all computers on the network with no platform requirements e.g. 'this task sequence can run on any platform'. The TS has several steps that essentially link to scripts without any platform requirements also. This TS advertisement works on the majority of our network, but there a some that report message ID 10018 advertisement "" from site "" was rejected because the clients platform is not supported." in the status messages.
To try and resolve this I have recreated the advertisement, duplicated the TS and re-advertised, but still the same problem. The client is XP SP3. I have not attempted to reinstall the client agent as other than this TS all is working fine.
Any ideas
Microsoft DirectAccess Connectivity Assistant
Hi.
Deploying Microsoft DirectAccess Connectivity Assistant from SCCM 2007 to windows 7 clients.
Client is rebooting automatically during / after? program instal.
In Advertisement status i get this message:
Windows Installer per-user elevation of this program ("C010023F" - "DirectAccess client x64") failed for advertisement "C0120415". The operating system reported error 1603: Fatal error during installation. This program was started.
Please check the status of this program to determine whether or not it was completed sucessfully
Possible causes: The version of Windows Installer on the computer is less than version 2.0, or the setup program does not support Windows Installer per-user elevated rights installations.
Possible solutions: Update the version of Windows Installer on the computer to version 2.0 or later, or contact the software vendor that supplied the install program to determine if a version of setup that supports per-user elevated rights is available.
I have tried two different instal strings:
msiexec.exe /qb! /i "DirectAccess_Connectivity_Assistant_2_0_x64.msi" ALLUSERS=2 /m SIIITTT
msiexec.exe /i "DirectAccess_Connectivity_Assistant_2_0_x64.msi" /qn
Application log on client says Installation completed successfully.
What is the reason for the unwanted reboot?
I have installed the sw manually, that works fine. No reboot there.
I need to deploy a driver update "dneupdate.msi" that needs a restart and I need SCCM to alert users with a countdown?
Hi,
I have been trying to deploy this dneupdate.msi driver update using SCCM 2007 and I have been successful apart from alerting users that it is going to restart. On a test virtual machine I have ran this numerous times with numerous switches and still it either will restart without any warning or just sit there and do nothing?
- This advertised program restarts itself using "Per-system unattended" -msiexec.exe /q ALLUSERS=2 /m MSIKIQEC /i "dneupdate64.msi" (with the advertisement stating 'No action Required' after running)
- This advertised program (I created) stays at 'Program Started' and doesn't move on -msiexec.exe" /q /restart /i "dneupdate64.msi" (with the advertisement stating 'ConfigMgr restarts computer'
I am obviously doing something wrong as I am finding it difficult to alert users after ANY software deployment of a restart and countdown to it but this one is an emergency one as the previous DNE drivers is bluescreening our whole fleet and I need to push this update out as soon as I can.
Thanks,
Niall

Anyone attempted to push out/upgrade to iTunes 11 using SCCM software distribution, or SCUP?
Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has been successful with this? Older versions seemed more favourable to automated installs, but I haven't been able to get this to work for 10 or 11.
Thanks.

Deploying Software which will not run if part of an AD group
I have been given a task of deploying a piece of software against a few collections however a colleague has setup a security group with computer objects listed.
Basically what they want is for the advertisment to run against these collections but not to run if the PC is listed within this group. Is this possible to do?

Uninstall all versions from a software
Hello,
Is there a way to uninstall all versions of a software within SCCM 2007?
I know to use msiexec /x {1ACDA426-7523-4DA3-BFAA-96113EFE2507} but it seems tedious to get all the GUID versions...
Could get the GUID by a query/report for all version?
I have a current query
select SMS_R_System.ResourceId, SMS_G_System_ADD_REMOVE_PROGRAMS.DisplayName, SMS_G_System_ADD_REMOVE_PROGRAMS.Version, SMS_R_System.ResourceType, SMS_R_System.Name, SMS_R_System.SMSUniqueIdentifier, SMS_R_System.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup, SMS_R_System.Client from SMS_R_System inner join SMS_G_System_ADD_REMOVE_PROGRAMS on SMS_G_System_ADD_REMOVE_PROGRAMS.ResourceID = SMS_R_System.ResourceId where SMS_G_System_ADD_REMOVE_PROGRAMS.DisplayName like "%Networker%"
