I am facing a strange behaviour of using task sequences for software distribution.
in order to update existing clients a task sequence was created. (this procedure was successfully used over the years). The newly created task sequence is a copy of the an older successfully used one.
This time the task sequence stops and none of the approx. 25 steps is applied. Even steps which have been successful don't work anymore. (0x80008014)
This is what I have done:
- Create a new TS with just one application. ==> same error
- Used the "old" TS ==> doesn't install missing applications
- installation of the ts from different distribution points ==> same error
- used the new TS on new customized install.wim (patches till April )==> same error
- used the new TS on old customized install.wim (patches till August)==> same error
I searched the internet but couldn't find any hints what it could be.
It seems to me that this problem is connected to the new ts. But even creating a new one don't solve this issue.
Any ideas are welcome,
